We do not collect special-category data (health, religion, political opinion, biometrics) and ask you not to include it in a brief. If a brief requires it as subject matter — a nursing case study, for example — it is treated as coursework content, not as data about you.
Not a public listing, not a bidding pool, not a broadcast to a hundred freelancers. Access is granted per brief and revoked when the job closes.
Specialists work under signed confidentiality agreements and see only the brief itself — never your name, email, phone number or payment details.
Each is contracted as a processor, not a partner, and may use your data only to deliver the function named.

We run no advertising trackers, no pixels and no cross-site profiling. Nothing about you is retargeted, and no data from this site is sold or shared with a broker.
This site uses Microsoft Clarity, a session-recording tool. When it is running it captures your mouse movements, scrolling, clicks and taps, the pages you move between, your approximate location from your IP address, and your browser and device. Those recordings are replayed by us to see where the site confuses people.
It also captures typing. That matters most on the pages where you type something about yourself: the brief form, the job application form, the creator and press forms, the order-status lookup, and the calculators — where a recording can capture grades, transcript figures or a paragraph of your essay.
We do not sell the recordings, we do not use them for advertising, and no ad network receives anything from this site. Microsoft processes them as our provider, under their own terms.
Turning it off
Nothing is recorded until you have said yes, and you can change your mind below at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat that as a no and never ask — as does a tracker-blocking extension, which stops Clarity loading at all.
Your answer to the recording question is saved in your browser's local storage under `lah-analytics-consent`, so you are not asked again on every page. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. Apart from that the site stores nothing in your browser at all — no login cookie, no saved draft, no analytics of our own.

Briefs and their attachments are kept while the work is live and for as long as you might reasonably come back about it. Job applications are kept for the recruitment round they relate to. Clarity recordings expire on Microsoft's own schedule, which is currently 30 days. We do not yet run an automated deletion job, so if you want something gone, ask and we will do it by hand within 30 days.
Standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the UK and EEA, with encryption throughout.
Regulator notified within 72 hours; you are told directly if your data is affected, in plain language.
The service is for students aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and will delete it on discovery. Where local law sets a higher age of digital consent, that age applies instead.
